Do you think waiting makes sense? With the advent of the possible switch to ARM, I’m worried about OS incompatibility issues and/or Apple us setting older models more quickly. My main concerns are the rumors of the new 13 inc models with better Intel processors possibly being announced later this month as well as the rumored switch to ARM processors next year. Do you think for editing mostly short videos (10 minutes or less), a MacBook Pro 2019 model with 1TB of SSD and 16 GB Ram is enough? While I realize that I could stay in the Windows environment and save a lot of money to comparable (if not better) power, I really would lime to go all in on Apple. I’d really like to move into the Apple Ecosystem for convenience, if nothing else. I also use green screen for most of my video.
For work and vlogging I do a lot of video editing - using things like Camtasia, Adobe Premiere, Doodley, and the like. I‘m a recent apple convert - Iphone, Ipad Pro, etc.
